716 Squares Game RulesUpdated for weekly approvals & carryovers

1. Squares are $10 each. Every claimed square starts as Pending Approval and does not count toward the pot until the admin approves it for that week.

2. A 5% maintenance deduction is taken from each paid square. Once approved, a normal $10 square adds $9.50 to the progressive pot.

3. A weekly board needs at least 50 claimed squares to run. If it finishes under 50, the game is skipped and all claimed squares stay in the same positions for the following week.

4. Squares carried forward because a week was under the 50-square minimum are a free rollover. They are not charged again just because the week was skipped.

5. At the start of every new week, carried squares return to Pending Approval. The admin must approve them again before that week's board is ready.

6. After approvals are complete, new board numbers are randomized. The home team numbers run across the top and the away team numbers run down the left side.

7. The winning square is determined by the last digit of each team's final score.

8. A winning square only counts if it is Approved for that week. If the final winning square is unclaimed or not approved, there is no winner and the entire pot carries over.

9. After a no-winner game, previously approved squares carry to the same positions for the next week. That carryover board stays locked from new claims, the carried squares return to Pending Approval, and when reapproved they count as a new paid entry for that new game, adding another $9.50 each to the pot.

10. The no-winner carryover continues week by week until an approved winning square hits. After an approved winner, the next week starts fresh, opens for new claims, and the progressive carryover resets.
